The senior outside linebacker was very impressive in pass coverage this past weekend. He showed the ability to drop into coverage and read route combinations in order to put himself in a position to make a play, finishing the game with multiple pass deflections. Enyard also showed the ability to use his speed to his advantage to rush the passer, finishing the game with a sack. Carter is committed to Kent State where I can see him developing into a key piece of their defense once he gets there.

He is coming off a strong junior year in which he finished with 67 tackles and seven sacks. Enyard lines up at outside linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. He does a great job of reading his keys and coming downhill in a hurry to make tackles. Enyard is able to use his speed to burst into the backfield before offensive linemen can react to try to block him. He is also very reliable in pass coverage, coming away with two interceptions as a junior. Carter is committed to Kent State where I see him finding a key role on their defense once he gets there.

As a junior, Enyard finished with 67 tackles and seven sacks. He is an athletic outside linebacker that does a great job of reading his keys and coming downhill in a hurry to defend the run. Enyard and the speed to burst off the edge and get into the backfield before anyone has a chance to block him. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he is a very reliable tackler in the open field. He is also very reliable in pass coverage, coming away with two interceptions this past season. Carter currently holds offers from UNLV, Bucknell, Northwest Missouri State, Kent State, and Western Illinois, and I expect that list to grow as he is a Division I caliber linebacker.

Carter’s size and athleticism make him a good MIKE linebacker prospect for the next level. Carter holds offers from UNLV & Western Illinois. He has visited Ball State multiple times and has also been to Miami of Ohio. Carter’s recruitment tells me he is in for a slew of calls from MVFC coaches and other regional schools before his career is over.

Next level power & athleticism shows shedding blockers and stopping outside runs before they hit the line of scrimmage. Good instincts show attacking playside bubble screens with urgency from an outside linebacker alignment. Carter is a good tackler whose natural instincts in the run game should help him make an easy switch off the ball.
