Pickens flashed plenty of promise as a Davis County sophomore in 2025. The linebacker/tight end made the most of his defensive opportunities, recording seven total tackles and a pair of stops for loss. He took his lone kick return back for 12 yards. He’s a really sound blocker lining up in-line, getting good bend and operating with violent hands. A good athlete with agility, there’s potential to become a threat as a receiver. On defense, he’s versatile and active on the second level. Perkins makes plays lining up in different areas thanks to lateral quickness and straight-line speed. He does well in keeping the play in front of him while working within the framework of the scheme.
