Carson is one of our South Dakota prospects that made the trip to the Crown Elite Camp, and showed off similarities to what I have seen on tape over his last few years at Faulkton. If you want a prospect with position flexibility on either side of the line with a blue-collar work ethic and great character, Carson is a good small school fit as the physicality this young man plays with on tape go way above the measurables he shows off as this young man regardless if it was in testing or 1v1s showed that finish I love seeing out of prospects in a camp setting. He has upside to grow into when I watched his OL reps in pass protection as he comes from a run-heavy offensive at Fauklton, but based on how hard this kid works I feel he is a quick learner that can pick up new skillsets quick. He shows off durable hands that are meant to power thru contact and has good vision with his ability to attack the ball in stride. I like his pad-level and drive blocking ability on tape however I think Carson’s best fit for me if I was a college recruiter fits in well at defensive tackle in my eyes.
