I’m very excited for Carson’s senior season. He is going to have a lot of responsibility on both sides of the ball, so we should see him put up a lot of numbers. The incoming senior did well putting up strong numbers in River Falls. He ran a 4.72 40, 4.31 shuttle, jumped 9’9″ and 33.3″. I love seeing a CB with strong jumps and a fast shuttle. Those are the twitchy athletes you can trust out on an island. Whether it is in zone reading, baiting, and closing quickly, or in man coverage where they are able to reduce any separation from route running because they can be so explosive in short areas. That is Carson as a CB. I don’t have any doubts he is going to be a steal in this Class.

, out of Stanley- Boyd. The 5’10” 175 lbs CB has short film this week, but it was a very productive game. We see him bait the QB into a bad decision. Carson flashes the recovery speed to go make that INT and also showed it on the PBU when he got turned around, but had the quick feet and hips and closing speed to deliver a hit that broke up the pass. Another one of his strong hits got him his forced fumble too. The junior DB is a name to know over this next year of recruiting.

. The now 5’10” 170 lbs athlete already possesses next level athleticism. The sophomore is coming off a 6 INT season, including 1 that he returned for a TD. Carson’s quick twitch agility, balance, and long speed allow shim to get aggressive, press at the line, and still be able to turn and run with his man. The sophomore showed he was able to flash strong, timely hands to break up passes along with forcing the turnovers. Keep an eye on the explosive athlete over the next couple seasons.

The sophomore DB has wasted no time making a name for himself this season. Carson has already collected 4 INTs through 5 weeks and multiple PBUs. Carson’s speed has been a major key. He can find the ball and go get it, even if it isn’t targeting his man. The underclassman displays great instincts and awareness in zone coverage. His quick twitch change of direction maximizes that aforementioned range. The natural ball skills are definitely there too, and he knows what to do with it after he grabs the ball. I’m excited to move him into the ranking after the season.
