Brinegar primarily plays receiver in their spread offense where he caught 78 passes for 1,296 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior but can also carry the ball too. He rushed for 311 yards and 5 touchdowns while also making his mark on special teams at times. The 5’10 180 junior has blazing speed and was the 100m dash Class AA state champion as a sophomore running in the low 11-second range. Brinegar is dynamic with the ball in his hands who’s a threat to score any time he touches it. He’s not just a straight-line speed athlete either and can make you miss at times. It wouldn’t surprise me if he sees more time at running back next season with the graduation of Preston Cooper Preston Cooper 6'0" | 205 lbs | RB Scott | 2024 State WV , but Brinegar will be deadly regardless of where he lines up.

Carson Brinegar Carson Brinegar 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH Scott | 2025 State WV is one of many talented receivers in the high-flying Scott Skyhawks prolific passing attack this season but he’s currently the leader in the clubhouse in yards and touchdowns on his team. The 5’10 180 speedster Through the first five games, Brinegar caught 32 passes for 648 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s also been effective carrying the ball with 9 rushes for 196 yards and three more touchdowns in the first five games too. Scott likes to get him the ball on touch passes and sweeps with his dynamic speed and quickness and Brinegar can make a house call on any given play. He’s well on his way to having a 1,000 yard receiving season which is something you don’t often see in West Virginia.
