Camren Boykin
About Camren
Expert Analysis
Carl Frederick | Prep Redzone Scout
Temple bound Camren Boykin is on the Virginia roster and I for one really hope he plays as the young man is a star. A dual threat passer Boykin can make every throw and makes plays with his legs when needed. Boykin finished his final year for the Maret School in Washington D.C. but he has been VA bound player his whole career, hence why he is on their roster.
Going into his senior season he had numerous Division 1 offers and committed to the Owls before their Head Coaching change occurred. With offers from Buffalo, Hampton and Penn still on the table I wonder if that has swayed his decision?

The recent Temple commit is one you will want to keep an eye on this fall. He has very good height and frame for a QB. He is an accurate thrower on all levels, with good anticipation, displaying a strong arm to fit the ball in tight windows. Shows good pocket mobility and can extend the play outside the pocket and deliver a good throw downfield. His commitment to Temple is well earned on the field, and he is poised for a big season this fall, and we will see him starting on Saturdays in the future.

Admittedly late to this party on his commitment to Temple University, I could not be happier for The Potomac School quarterback

. If you have followed along his journey you know the kid has been committed to his craft and is a division 1 talent.
Boykin had close to 10 FCS offers including Coastal Carolina and Virginia State, but it was the Temple Owls who enticed him the most.

comes in 4th in his position and 69th overall is worth the price of admission. Another dual threat star who can make nearly every throw, Boykin most recently picked up an offer from the prestigious Cornell University. Thus far now power 5 schools have pulled the trigger on Boykin but like many of our highly ranked prospects, with the new recruitment cycle those are coming.

stock is rising by the minute and he will not stop until he gets the respect he deserves. One of the best quarterbacks in Virginia Boykin is sure to be at least an FCS level player in 2025. For my money he is an FBS talent with schools such as Maryland, James Madison and Duke showing interest, he is sure to get major offers soon. Playing for the Potomac School this young man has the size, speed and arm strength to lead the Panthers against a tough independent schedule.

Cam is a polished gunslinger who is improving every evaluation. Boykin is a very familiar face in the DMV circuit at showcases, camps, and tournaments. He is accurate and has velocity on his short and medium passes. Cam has visibly grown physically, coming into the frame of a collegiate Quarterback.
