Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Bowie impressed the heck out of me when I scouted him early last season at Iowa City West. That he hung tough with the Trojans’ physical front said a lot. Bowie is a technically sound, tough interior offensive lineman. He stands out at guard now but has the athleticism and quickness to slide over to center. Bowie is powerful and does a nice job with his hands whether pushing forward in opening rushing lanes or setting up in pass protection. His sophomore highlights from 2024 provide evidence of his present production while also flashing his significant upside. Bowie wins in close quarters and does the same in space. It’s only a matter of time before the scholarship offers start coming in.

The sophomore proved he belonged against a physical, fast Trojan D-Line on Friday. Lining up at guard, Bowie teams up with tackle

to give the J-Hawks a formidable left side of the line. Bowie does his best work in the run game, where he uses quickness and a powerful lower half to drive into opponents’ chests. He can slide laterally and block in space. It will be interesting to see how good he becomes because he already competes really well.

has had a solid offseason that included back-to-back stellar performances at our PRZ Showcases. For only going into his sophomore season, Cameron already displays a lot of polish in his skillset. Bowie has the quickness and instincts to pick up on what opposing defenders are trying to do and can counter them. He is quick on his feet with a strong base to anchor down when he needs to. Cameron has had our attention since his standout performance at the Stock Up showcase. The Urbandale prospect put on a show at the showcase as a follow-up to a great freshman season. Cameron played left guard on the J-Hawks offensive line, where he showed great mobility and agility. Bowie moves very well, both laterally on pulling blocks and when he needs to get downhill to clear out second-level defenders. He does a great job with his hand placement and displays the strength to overwhelm defenders before driving them into the ground. A strong base allows him to stonewall defenders at the line. Starting on the offensive line as a freshman is no easy task, but Cameron definitely took that challenge head-on and will only continue to improve in the next three seasons.

This freshman football player stands out with a big physique and a quick burst off the line. Particularly impressive in run-blocking, he showcases excellent technique and the ability to engage opponents swiftly, opening lanes for ball carriers. Bowie often pshes past the line of scrimmage and his effectiveness extends to the second level, demonstrating a keen understanding of the game. With his head constantly on a swivel, he identifies and handles additional pass rushers with ease, adding a reactive layer of protection. If Bowie continues to develop his pass protection skills, her has the potential to evolve into a highly sought-after prospect, making him one to watch for recruiters and scouts.
