Expert Analysis
Robert Davis | Prep Redzone Scout
Bell solidified himself as one of the top safety prospects in the state with a highly productive and versatile season. He totaled 102 tackles, three interceptions, nine tackles for loss, and two sacks, while also taking one interception back for a touchdown. Bell plays with a downhill mentality, showing no hesitation filling against the run while still maintaining discipline in coverage. His range allows him to patrol the middle of the field, and his instincts put him around the football consistently. Bell’s ability to impact the game at multiple levels makes him a valuable addition to any secondary. As an uncommitted Division I prospect, his stock continues to rise as more programs take notice of his complete skill set.

Bell measures in at 5’10 165-pounds, and the safety had 102 total tackles (47 solo, 55 assisted), 9 TFL, 2 sacks, 2 QB pressures, 3 INT, 14 PD, 1 FF, 2 FR, and 1 blocked field goal. Bell has very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, very good speed, balance, change of direction, and jumping. As the safety, he has very good range allowing him to prowl the field. Bell uses his very good read and reaction speed to put himself in position to succeed. He trusts his instincts. Very good tackling and run support. In man coverage, he’ll use his athletic ability to stay stride for stride with the receiver. Very good closing quickness and very good timing to create pass deflections. Bell is a beast in both coverage and run support and deserves more love than he currently has from colleges.

Bell had a good game to end his senior year. He had 9 total tackles (4 solo, 5 assisted). I believe Bell deserves more love from the college circuit than he currently has. He has very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, very good change of direction, speed, balance, and jumping. This safety has very good read and reaction skills. Very good ball instincts. He reads the QB’s eyes and puts himself in a position to tackle or make a play. In coverage, he has very good closing quickness. He’ll stay stride for stride with the defender in coverage and match the WR’s fluid hips as they break into a route. Bell also makes his presence known in the run game with his very good tackling and run support. I can see him helping a team out at the FCS or D2 level.

Bell has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, good change of direction, and jumping. He jams the receiver at the line of scrimmage, and uses his athletic ability to stay stride for stride with them. Very fluid hips. Bell has very good man coverage sticking like glue to the receiver. Good back pedal. He has very good closing quickness and good reactionary speed. One thing that stands out to me, is his balance between looking back at the QB and keeping track of the DB. Impressive. Keep an eye out for Bell this upcoming season.

Bell is a DB that has good speed and explodes out of his breaks to make a play on the football. He is a threat to take it to the house whenever he gets his hands on the ball. He shows good hips in coverage being able to open up and knock the ball away from receivers. He is a corner that isn’t afraid to mix it up and is a good open field tackler. He will be a stock watch player to know and with the talent this team has in the secondary he will be able to play fast and free.
