He can also take the top off the defense if necessary.

Caleb Spann is someone who showed great command of his offense in year one at West Jessamine. Spann has a quick release and puts good spin on his footballs. This translates to a strong arm. More impressively, he’s able to get the ball out quickly after the snap, demonstrating great knowledge of the system he plays in and a high football IQ overall. Spann is a good athlete who can be a threat to run the football as well. He’s also effective defensively, playing safety for the Colts, where he is reliable as the last line of defense.

Spann is muscled up and more than athletic enough to come in and play early in high school. Physically, he looks like he could walk into a varsity locker room in the state and not look out of place.
