One of the sophomores I couldn’t wait to get a look at was the big target out of Neenah HS. Schaefer didn’t disappoint. He is a long, lean 6’3″ 185 lbs. He runs 4.72 in the 40, and broad jumped 9’5″. Caleb also posted a 7.22 L-Drill time. That is an athletic profile to get excited about. His size and L-Drill time did a good job of illustrating the budding body control and change of direction the big receiver possesses. Caleb also checked off the expected boxes of being a big target who can wall off defenders from the ball. Where he surprised though is with his smooth route running. I’m excited to see the tape he puts out this fall when Neenah goes to the air.
