Senior Cal Welker Cal Welker 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Heritage Hall | 2025 OK could very well end up becoming Heritage Hall’s “X-factor” during the 2024 season. Welker returns for another year as a starter and a versatile player in all three phases of the game. Welker will bring a lot to the table as a wide receiver but don’t overlook the importance of Welker in the kicking game. It was Welker’s field goal in last year’s semifinal round that sent the Chargers to the state championship game. So needless to say, Welker will play a very important role for the Chargers this season. On offense, Welker will provide the passing game with a reliable option at wide receiver. He could end up having a big 2024 season.

It seemed foolish not to include junior Cal Welker Cal Welker 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Heritage Hall | 2025 OK on this breakdown for “Players To Watch” when you consider his performance last week. In most weeks, Welker is one of the other targets for Bass to throw to and he also has kicking duties with the Chargers. Last week, in their semifinal win over Marlow, Welker was the hero. The defending champs were on the ropes but Welker booted a game-winning field goal to send the Chargers back to the state championship game. It was one of the more clutch moments of last week and we’re fired up to see the encore.
