About Cal
Expert Analysis
Michael Keighron | Prep Redzone Scout
Rogers is entering his third varsity season and he is making a name for himself as one of the top defenders in Class A. He is incredibly quick, possesses excellent agility and meets opposing runners with tenacity. Although he made the All State team as a DL, this is a player that can change the game on either side of the ball.

Cal showed a lot of promise in his freshman season and continued that success into year two. Rogers can play a variety of positions. As a RB, he runs with a full head of steam and played an excellent complimentary back this year; he was also a threat out of the backfield as he led Will North in receiving. His future may lie on defense, where he excelled as an OLB/EGDE rusher. He is quick off the ball and can beat opposing lineman with a bull rush or his speed.

was one of the few freshman that made an impact on his team in 2023 so he was poised for a breakout season this year. While he did look good at times during the first 3 games of his sophomore season, it was a huge Week 4 win against Starpoint that was his big breakout game. Rogers ran for 86 yards and 1 TD on the ground, while leading the Spartans in receiving with 5 catches for 52 yards. He also added 7 tackles and 2 sacks on defense.

I can name maybe five freshman that made an impact on varsity in Section VI last season. Although it was low key,

is one of those players. He is a strong athletic player that can play RB, DL or LB. Rogers ran for 143 yards and 1 TD while being a menace as defender, making 38 tackles and 3 sacks. Not bad as a first year player but his sophomore campaign will be his coming out party and he should be named on the All WNY and All State teams.
