Marlow senior quarterback Cade Gilbert Cade Gilbert 5'10" | QB Marlow | 2024 State OK has a similar game to Bass at Heritage Hall. Gilbert is a quarterback who can beat teams with his arm but he is incredibly dangerous when he tucks the ball and takes off. We saw it first hand in the first round win over Metro Christian. Gilbert broke several tackles on his way to a 79-yard touchdown run. He has the speed to break off the long highlight run but he’s also incredibly strong and is just as comfortable lowering the shoulder and fighting through a defense. This match-up features two outstanding quarterbacks that can beat opposing defenses in multiple ways.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. There’s a Gilbert playing quarterback for Marlow and he’s a complete dual-threat weapon. 2024 quarterback Cade Gilbert Cade Gilbert 5'10" | QB Marlow | 2024 State OK did a great job of replacing Jace Gilbert last fall and he put up some very respectable numbers. He would throw for over 1,500 yards and run for nearly 700 yards and also saw plenty of playing time on the defensive side of the ball at safety. Gilbert is also a state champion wrestler and the toughness he brings to the football field is something that we really appreciate in his game. And the fact that Gilbert brings back a player like Gage at wide receiver, we think that could be a dangerous combination this fall. But when the play breaks down and Gilbert needs to go on the run, he can and extend drives.
