Playing on the opposite end of an offensive line that has one of the top OL prospects in the nation on it may have some perks, as Cade Fadden Cade Fadden 6'4" | 245 lbs | OL Des Moines Christian | 2027 IA has learned this spring. In addition to the spotlight that Declan Heying has brought to Des Moines Christian, Fadden is building a reputation of his own, earning Division I offers from out-of-state programs like North Alabama and St. Thomas, in addition to Drake.

A mauler of a left tackle that also got some reps at guard for the Lions, Fadden uses his 6-foot-4 frame to get out in space and plow the way for ball-carriers. Explosive off the line of scrimmage, too, Fadden gets his hands on the opposing defensive lineman before they have a chance to react, getting them back on their heels and into the dirt.

Fadden likely projects to guard at the next level and he’ll need to add some weight, but the reps at left tackle will help in pass-protection going forward into his college career.

Des Moines Christian received seven and a half tackles from Fadden this past fall. The junior had four solo stops and a tackle and a half for loss. He mostly made his mark on the offensive front, however. His 11th-grade highlight video reveals a solid prospect with a chance to help plenty of programs on the next level. The first clip features Fadden impressively firing off off the snap, sprinting forward to the second level and pancaking the defender. Lining up at left tackle, he continually blocks guys in space. Fadden also flashes physicality in close quarters in opening up holes for the run game. There’s a clip where he blocks a guy off the line and hits a combo on the next level. There’s a whole lot to like about how Fadden plays, and his frame has room to fill out, giving him a sizable ceiling. He’s a guy that should be on the radar of more colleges.
