Wainright is a corner that has no problem with coming down and making a tackle on the ball carrier. He plays with an aggressive style and can get physical at the line of scrimmage. He is able to play trail technique and has a knack of anticipating throws, coming off of his receiver to make a play on a near by receiver. He has good hands and can high point the football to come down with interceptions. He has just committed to Fort Lewis, I anticipate that he will be working on his feet and hips as he will be able to make an immediate impact with some fine tuning.

Wainright brings an old-school mentality to the game, thriving on physicality and punishing the ball carrier. With a high motor and an aggressive approach he flies around the field and makes plays in the box. I see him as a tone setter with his ability to come down lay the wood. He also shows great hands and the ability to go up and high point the football, coming down with INTs and swinging the momentum. He is an under the radar player that will be making some noise early and turning heads in the process.
