is a player who has been on my radar for a while now and has continued to impress this season. The senior running back has been one of the driving forces of the Madison Central offense during their playoff run so far, running the ball 23 times for 164 yards and five touchdowns. Bryant has impressive speed which he uses to hit the running lane with a sense of urgency and run away from the defense once he hits the open field. He has also shown the ability to keep his legs churning through contact to break tackles and pick up extra yards with ease. Mathis currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and Midway, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see more come his way as he has the talent to be a productive running back at the next level.

In addition to great footwork and electric speed off the snap, Mathis impresses me with his ability to maneuver the field and break tackles on his way into the endzone. I also like how Mathis can use bursts of speed to pick up major yardage from along the edge.

is another new addition to our rankings that caught my attention with a strong junior year. He had an impressive 2023 season, leading his team in rushing with 223 carries for 1,281 yards and 14 touchdowns in 12 games. Mathis has explosive speed which he uses to hit the running lane with a sense of urgency and run away from the defense on long runs. He has also shown the elusiveness and contact balance to make defenders miss in the open field. Bryant also played a role in the passing game this past season, finishing with 15 receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. Mathis doesn’t currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and definitely has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
