Minshell is a player with a ton of potential on the line. The CBA-Albany prospect, attended his second Prep Redzone Showcase, and showed solid numbers for his position and age despite the weather.

He was a strong playmaker whose true position is at the Defensive Tackle position. I liked his strength with rushes, and he used leverage to gain an advantage on his competitors. He showed solid hand placement and he was able to get right on point with his contact. He should look to improve his footwork and tool bag as he progresses as a pass rusher to allow him to reach the backfield quicker.

Brody Minshell Brody Minshell 5'10" | 245 lbs | DL/OL Christian Brothers-Albany | 2029 State NY stood out with how surprisingly quick and explosive he was for his size at the NY Exposure Series. He consistently showed active hands at the line of scrimmage, tossing blockers’ hands away and preventing offensive linemen from getting clean leverage on him. Once engaged, he did a great job shedding blockers on his way into the backfield, flashing the combination of power and quickness that will make him a problem for offensive units in the fall.

For whatever reason I did not get an extended look at Brody Minshell. Being that he is ranked as the 44th best prospect in New York, I regretfully wish I got to see more of him. The one rep of Minshell’s that I caught was of him executing a powerful pull rush. On this rep he bulled and absolutely murdered the offensive lineman. The poor kid had no shot against the power and strength of Minshell.

Misnhell had a solid combine, and for a young Defensive Lineman, showcased good speed and a quick burst. I liked his ability to use his strength during the showcase, along with his use of leverage, and hands. Minshell was an impressive playmaker in Danbury, and the 2029 Prospect, easily has a bright future ahead of him.

Minshell’s size is unknown, but he displays solid film. The CBA-Albany prospect ranks as my second best defensive lineman in the 2029 class, and should make an impact this upcoming season.

Minshell has solid speed for an interior Defensive Lineman, and displays good footwork off the line along with solid hand placement, allowing him to shed blocks with ease. I like his strength which can push centers back, and force QB’s out of the pocket on pass reps.
