Recent Offers: SDSU
The Bakersfield product is one of the more impressive young defenders across the state, and is a multi-dimensional athlete that should find his home as a safety or outside linebacker in college down the line. He tackles well, can shock and shed off blocks and cover downfield with some natural ball skills and return abilities and is a very high IQ player for his age and is poised for a huge leap in his sophomore year.

Impressive young safety prospect whose recruiting has already kicked off with an early offer from Sacramento State. He’s an instinctive and fast reacting safety that shows a good football IQ. Flashes a strong understanding of route concepts and offensive tendencies, allowing him to stay in position and take efficient angles to the football. Comfortable playing as a high safety or rolling down into the box, where he shows a willingness to come downhill and deliver contact. Quick to diagnose the play he plays well with his eyes and makes decisive reads to trigger towards the ball. Tackles with solid pad level and wrap up ability, limiting yards after contact, and flows well laterally to make plays outside the numbers. In coverage, he’s got good range in zone and the athleticism to match up with slot’s in man. Ball skills show up on film with consistent pass breakups and turnover potential.

The Garces Memorial product is one of the better safety prospects in the ’29 class across the state and checked into our rankings in the most recent update just outside the top 30 overall. He is a long and rangy playmaker that can come downhill quickly and covers a ton of ground/excels at making tackles in the open field and is a high IQ kid with a quick trigger. He shows he can cover downfield and breaks quickly on ball carriers with natural ball skills when jumping routes and has return abilities/long strides in the open field. After a breakout freshman year for the Rams, he is one of the top returning safeties in the valley and is a key name to note on the camp circuit this off-season.
