Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Craig was on this list last year, and he makes it again. This time, he has finally gotten some of the recruiting buzz he deserves. Here is an excerpt from what I said on him in this same write-up a year ago.
“Craig is a smooth, quick lateral mover, which allows him to shuffle in front of defenders and handle secondary rush moves. He gets into his pass set quickly and plays with a good base. At times, he can get out in front of his toes upon contact. However, he shows impressive bend in his knees and ankles, allowing him to recover and anchor down against pass rushers. Craig is fundamentally sound and has the athletic profile to shield off the edge. He should generate some P4 buzz over the next few years.”

has been among my favorite evaluations from this offseason. He is a fantastic athlete with plenty of upside as an LT. Here is my May eval of Craig:

is a young, yet physically impressive OT prospect with plenty of good developmental traits. Comes in at 6’5 270 and has the frame to easily get to 300 pounds once fully grown. I got eyes on Craig earlier this offseason at the NEGA 2027 classic. For a youngster, he plays with outstanding mechanics and has the build to be a noteworthy LT prospect on the recruiting trail. He comes in at 6’5 270 with an athletic, proportional frame. He should have no problem eventually getting to and exceeding 300 pounds. His pass set is quick, clean, crisp, and he flashes good hand placement. He will need to add more play strength, which will come with time, but his teeth are cut in a predominately run based offense. As he gets bigger and continues refining his sudden movement patterns, he should only raise his level of play.

There were plenty of noteworthy OL prospects in attendance, but I found myself most intrigued with what

has to offer. He has a mature 6’4 270 frame. He moves well for a bigger guy, and is obviously not done growing. When he got out in space, he looked like the most natural mover in the OL group. There weren’t a whole lot of pass-set reps that I saw, but he has the twitchiness and length needed to protect the QB at LT. His hand placement is elite, frequently finding and driving through the chest of defenders. With more experience and a little more development around the edges, Craig looks like someone who could develop into a high-floor FBS OL prospect.
