Creekview’s two leading receivers last fall were seniors, leaving the door open for some breakout candidates. Van Alstyne has flashed and is worthy of a mention. Multi-sport athlete with athletic indicators from basketball. At 6’0, he can jump out of the gym, as showcased with tomahawk dunks. Spotty production as a sophomore, but he had some exciting flashes. He is explosive off the line and cuts through cushion. He isn’t afraid to get physical, both in his routes and as a blocker. He should get more opportunities to play the ball in the air, which will add more context to the athlete here.
