Schott is as intriguing and exciting as they come. He’s physical, well built, can block, catch downfield, and impact the game in more ways than you expect. Over 100 grabs, 1700 yards, and 21 total TDs as the TE spot in high school is pretty impressive. Especially considering Schott had a target on his back as a freshman. He was pinged as a dude who “might be a problem” and he sure was. Nobody could ever stop him and there’s a reason most schools in the country wanted him.

In terms of a standard Schott game, Brock was a bit quiet but he still had a 1-yard TD on the evening. Leo was trying to get him the ball and was dialing up a few deep shots for him. DeKalb did not want to get beat by Schott and did everything they could to slow him down. Defensively he had a few tackles and a sack, but DeKalb’s offense was shut down most of the night.

out of Leo High School could be the next big superstar coming out of the 260. Whether it is causing headaches in secondaries across the NE8, or becoming an opposing quarterbacks worst nightmare when lined up on the edge, Schott is freak athlete that shines in both positions. He provides flexibility to his offense and gives the defense different looks with his ability to line up inside or split out wide and causes mismatches against opposing defensive backs. He stands above most defenders that he faces and that fight ends in Schott’s favor more often than not. Going into his junior year with the Lions, Schott holds offers from many Division 1 schools and that list will only continue to grow throughout this year and next. The Leo offense this year has the makings of being a high-scoring machine, and Schott leads the charge.

Leo High School, located in Leo-Cedarville, plopped 30 minutes NE of Fort Wayne and near the Ohio border, had a star-studded 2022 class, and continue their P5 momentum with 2025 6’3, 215 lb. TE/DE/ATH Brock Schott. After his fruitful sophomore season that saw him post 52.5 tackles, 20.5 TFLs, 12 sacks (!), a FF, and two defensive TDs, as well as 34 receptions for 468 yards and 7 TDs, Schott blew up on the recruiting trail this offseason and earned offers from Western Michigan, Ball State, Wisconsin, Indiana, Purdue, Cincinnati, Michigan State, and Louisville, and also recorded a 450 lb. squat, 12 reps at 225 for the bench press, and a 300 lb. power clean for some impressive weight room numbers. There are a lot more impressive qualities of Schott than just his strength, as the sophomore film shows off a young buck with a ton of positives going for him. Offensively, he can high point the football, displays great size and COD/start-stop skills for his size, and great speed for his size, as he’s easily able to play WR at 6’3, 215 and gave DBs fits at the LOS and top of the route with his footwork. I also like his soft hands and ability to break tackle attempts with his powerful lower body. Defensively, it gets even better. Schott’s get-off is impressive, he’s got bend at the top of the arch, strength at the point of attack when taking on blocks and tackling, and is always around the football and in the backfield of opponents, leading to some momentum-shifting defensive TDs and big plays. Effective hands, great closing speed, and is comfortable in space, it’s no surprise he’s already a 4-star prospect and I wouldn’t be shocked to see that rating continue to rise. Excellent tape and skillset in the Hoosier State two-way baller. I could watch his film all day.
