Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Paukstis had an incredible sophomore season, throwing for 3,406 yards and 37 touchdowns and helping lead his team to a state championship. It would be asking a lot for him to repeat or improve upon those numbers, but he’d be the first to tell you he can do it. In three games, with the last two being limited action, he’s completed 30-of-51 passes for 566 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions (all in the first game of the season). Paukstis is now a very experienced quarterback who looks confident and poised in the pocket. He’s very mobile in the pocket and Is able to deliver all kinds of off-platform throws, short, mid-range, and long. Paukstis can make things happen with his feet as well. He can make all of the throws and spreads the football around. Paukstis makes throws into tight spaces on a few of his highlights, which is very impressive. Him and his teammates are off to a strong start.
