Brennan Kesler Brennan Kesler 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB/EDGE Olentangy Orange | 2027 OH is a very promising linebacker prospect who is stout v. The run and flashes being a good open-field tackler in the first two games of the season. Good getting downhill. Also strong on kickoff coverage where his pursuit and speed are put to great use. High-academic prospect. Recorded 77 tackles total in 2024; increased production momentously in 2025 with a team-high 125 tackles in 2025.

I said it in my September write-up for Brennan, and I’ll stick by it: Brennan has been one of Central Ohio’s best defenders in 2025. He’s a versatile piece for the Pioneers’ defense. He can line up on the line as a rusher and as a cover linebacker. He’s a tremendous athlete who works hard on every snap. He brings an edge to this unit that has transcended this unit from last season. I hope to see him added to our next 2027 rankings update.

Brennan Kessler shined last week in a dominant 31-7 victory over Berlin: flashing a high motor with great pursuit and excellent speed, he recorded five sacks and seven tackles, setting a new school record. Kessler has excellent range and takes great angles to the ball. The Class of 2027 linebacker is very instinctive, twitchy and explosive.

Kesler has been overly impressive for Olentangy Orange this season. He can line up as a MIKE linebacker and has been put on the defensive line in packages to rush the passer. He’s a great athlete as a pass rusher. He utilized spins, swims, and overall athleticism to win reps. He is relentless as a run defender. He plays much bigger than he’s listed and has been one of Central Ohio’s best defenders in 2025.
