Braylon Kannel Braylon Kannel 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Crosby-Ironton | 2029 State MN brings some small school, Greater Minnesota representation to the PRZMN Underclassmen Offensive POY candidates. The Crosby-Ironton sophomore is already due for a ranking’s bump after his eye-popping showing at the Bemidji State small school War on the Shore Team Camp, as Kannel was absolutely dynamite on both sides of the ball and particularly on offense. Getting wide open on routes, breaking ankles and churning out chunk gains with regularity, and of course, scoring TDs, Kannel was particularly dangerous with the ball in-hand during camp. He’s also going to have a big role on the Rangers‘ 2026 campaign, something we saw in Week 1 despite Crosby-Ironton getting shut out by Aitkin 29-0. Kannel posted 1 completion for 13 yards, 6 rushes for 26 yards, and 3 tackles in the loss. Also produced some green athletic numbers at the Minnesota Gophers’ prospect camp this summer in Dinkytown.

One of a handful of straight-up dazzling 2029s who made strong, productive, explosive introductions to PRZMN live & in person at the Bemidji State small school team camp, Crosby-Ironton’s Braylon Kannel Braylon Kannel 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Crosby-Ironton | 2029 State MN lit up the War on the Shore competition to conclude the camp on Wednesday night. A dynamic weapon and utility piece for the Rangers who was more than comfortable with the ball in-hand, Kannel was a natural playmaker who did a great job of stretching the field and setting up DBs to where he could continually bounce the ball outside, flip and swivel those hips to create tough angles, and use the sideline as a friend, even in goal line and shorter-yardage situations. He was a consistent playmaker and constant threat to take the edge and the sideline of a defense during competition, and he was explosive and showed off his big play speed and ball skills throughout the camp’s various mixers, 7v7, and full team competition. Dude was electric all week!
