All-around, he’s an athletic player best utilized when he’s able to gain a head of steam in the open field. 2:31 is an excellent example of that- Braylon gets the inside handoff, there’s a gaping hole to run through, and he takes advantage of bad pursuit angles to earn an explosive play. I also see a few instances of good vision. At 2:17, Braylon is patient enough to wait for his blocks to develop, then he does an excellent job running north-south through the defense. Lastly, I’ll point to 1:28. This is Braylon’s best example of contact balance, vision, and athleticism wrapped up into one play.
I see a lot of flashes here, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Braylon consistently outruns defenders and exposes poor pursuit angles. In the future, I’d love to see Braylon establish better contact balance. Hit the weight room, keep that same athletic ability, and he could be a D2 prospect in a year’s time.
