While the junior wideout didn’t get a lot of action in the Longhorns’ tough offensive showing against Allen last week, Caston reeled in a couple of impressive catches back in week 1. Braylon possesses great (4.4) speed, a polished route tree, and solid hands at all levels of the field. Expect him to progressively break out this season, and that may just start in tonight’s contest. He already holds offers from Tulsa, Texas State, and Sacramento State.

Caston is a dependable checkdown and deep-threat pass catcher who excels in finding the creases in a defense. His sophomore year, he showed a lot of promise on a loaded Cedar Hill squad, totaling 156 yards and a score in ’24. Caston also displays great physicality, constantly maintaining blocks down the field. Braylon will expect a stellar junior season as he continues to build his frame and get more involved in the offense. With polished route running, strong hands, and 4.5 speed, Caston will build upon his offers from Tulsa, Sacramento State, and Texas State.

Caston has good quickness, he transitions into his backpedal smoothly and he is able to flip his hips well. He loves to get hands on his opponent in press coverage at the line of scrimmage and he has the power to alter the receiver’s route at the point of attack. Braylon has a solid build and a strong lower half with a stern base. His tenacity was on display as he competed on multiple back-to-back reps versus the wide receivers, which lead to several pass break ups during the one vs one session. Caston is a well-rounded athlete, who has the versatility to hop on offense during his fall season at running back and tote the rock. As he continues to mature his game will grow with him.
