Brandt is a solid vertical threat at Tight End. Usually lining up off-ball, he’s a decent route runner, and is a great safety net for good possession catches. At 1:22, Brandt leaks, runs a quick out, and secures the catch right as his QB is hit. Then, there are several plays like 1:37 where Brandt is able to line up off-ball, sit in a zone, and earn positive yardage. Brandt also has a couple of blocking highlights, but he’s pretty raw in this area.
I LOVE the way Brandt is utilized in the GRC offense. High volume of catches and so, so many more opportunities than most High School TEs. That said, the sky’s the limit for next season. If Brandt is able to train his tail off in the next few months, he could be an amazing weapon and one of the most productive TEs in the state.
