is the only lineman on this week’s breakdown. Simon plays on both sides of the ball for the Bulldogs and after checking out his film and watching him in action on offense and defense, we’re leaning to the offensive side of the ball for Simon as a prospect. Working mostly at guard during his junior season, Simon showed really good balance and strength. Those were the first two attributes that jumped out at us while watching. With Simon’s size, he certainly projects to being more of an interior lineman at the next level. Whether that’s center or guard, that’s up for debate. The majority of his film was at guard. We also liked Simon’s ability to attack defenders and he always hits first. But he doesn’t rush it, he has good patience and technique and then punishes his opponent. One thing we would like to see from Simon moving forward is to work on his driving. He’s an absolute force when he wants to be and he always hits first, but we want to see him finishing off those blocks and driving through his opponent. As he works on that and his overall quickness, he’ll be an offensive lineman that has a chance when this fall rolls around.
