Listed at 5’7”, 154 pounds, Zimmerman plays bigger than his frame with toughness and confidence. He burst onto the scene at the linebacker position by consistently making splash plays and showing strong football instincts. At the showcase, he stood out with elite tackling form and the ability to secure ball carriers in open space. Zimmerman plays under control and rarely wastes movement when closing on the football. During one-on-one competitions, he welcomed the challenge of covering the fastest wide receivers in attendance. His lateral quickness and change of direction allowed him to stay in phase and compete rep after rep. He showed strong awareness and discipline in coverage situations.
