Mankato East’s offense took multiple steps forward in 2025, and with Brady Valberg Brady Valberg 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL/DL Mankato East | 2027 State MN holding down the Left Guard position for the Cougars, the offense proved to be one of the most efficient and well-balanced offenses in the conference. Valberg shows great hand-fighting ability, and he’s able to generate leverage off through twists, drives, or simply catching defenders off balance while moving laterally, and it is not easy getting off of Valberg’s blocks when he gets his hands on a defender. Valberg is a potent and versatile Guard that can block both the run and the pass very well, and he will remain a vital piece toward Mankato East’s offense for one more season.

One of the most touted offensive linemen out of the 2027 graduating class, Valberg should be a key part of the Mankato East mauling offensive line that they’re building. The now-junior is a force in the trenches. He’s got a thick frame, and this, combined with his excellent knee bend, makes him a problem for DTs that are about to get down-blocked. Both his down and reach blocks are high-level, and while I’d like to see more urgency getting to the second level, he excels at creating ideal run lanes for his ball carriers in the trenches. I think this could be a stock rising season for Valberg.
