Jones received significant snaps last year as a junior but was mainly used as a blocker but this season as a senior, the Golden Bears tight end has taken a step up in his progression and is becoming a more well rounded prospect that shows flashes of pass catching upside. Sporting good height, length and a body frame that can take on more size, Jones has the physical potential to become a key piece in the tight end room on the next level with continued development. He moves well off the line then runs with good speed into open space. The Golden Bears senior also shows bend with his blocking and the ability to get his man into the second level. Jones is an interesting prospect that has the physical traits and mobile skills to develop into a bonafide college tight end with more time in the weight room and continued work on the playing field.
