Another standout from the 8-man league, Blayne Porter Blayne Porter 5'10" | 155 lbs | WR/ATH Janesville | 2026 State IA ‘s role was much bigger for Janesville in 2025 as the starting QB, but his presence in the return game remained just as exemplary of why he’s one of the best return specialists in the state. Porter finished 2nd in the state with 685 kick return yards and 3 kick return TDs, averaging 29.8 yards per return. After having a prevalent role as a punt returner last season, Porter flipped over to the kick return game primarily this season, and his acceleration and agility translated well, being able to slice through lanes and win with impressive game speed to the outside. Porter’s focus will now shift toward who will pick him up, as he’s been a priority target among several D3 teams through the season.

Janesville won eight games and reached the second round of last year’s playoffs. Porter found plenty of ways to contribute to the cause. He rushed for two touchdowns, caught a score, registered 17.5 tackles (13 solo), picked off a pair of passes, averaged 19.2 yards on 13 kick returns, and returned four punts to the house in earning first-team all-district honors. Porter’s junior highlight video opens with him bringing the punts back for a TDs. He’s fast but also elusive with good vision and patient in setting up blocks. Those traits also lead to success as a receiver. Porter regularly makes defenders miss in space. He’s intriguing as a defensive back, too. Porter sticks with his guy in coverage and supports the run.
