Bentley came into his first start as a freshman under unreal circumstances. First string QB injured, playing at The Big House against a team that typically plays really sound defense. And what did he do?

289 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and looked about as confident and calm as a season vet. He was making the right reads, taking what the defense gave him, but also wasn’t afraid to take a shot when he liked what he saw. He was able to lead Milford to a 30-13 win in one of the most impressive performances you’ll ever see from a freshman.

Huge stock boost for him showing that he can compete and win at the varsity level. Super excited for his development going forward!

Bentley was thrown into action after finding out starter Hudson Smith was out with an undisclosed injury and Bentley did not let the moment get to be too much. Bentley did a very good job trusting his teammates and let the game come to him. Bentley showed very good arm strength and was delivering big time throws all over the field. Bently displayed very good touch on his deep ball and was very decisive in his throws while he had small windows to throw through. Bentley was very poised and it transferred into a big game for the freshman. Milford has 2 very solid quarterbacks on the roster and the freshman showed he can play and the bright lights are not to much.
