Tolman is quietly having a fantastic season. He showcases good vision and sees the cutback lanes before they fully develop, and will use his lateral quickness to get to the lane, and does well in getting small through the first level. Once he clears that he has the physicality to lower his pads and run through a defender, or use his speed and make that defender miss and race for home. He is a durable running back who can take a heavy workload. He’s a complete three-down running back with soft hands in the receiving game. He is deadly in the open space as he’ll make defenders miss in a phone booth and shows good creativity with the ball in his hands.

Tolman was efficient on Friday night and showed that he is a complete, three-down back. He shows good patience as a runner and anticipates an opening behind the line, and once it starts to open up, he uses his lateral quickness to get there and does well getting small through the first level and being slippery. He also displays good hands and is elusive in the open field.
