However he lines up, the results are the same. Big gains on the ground. Ott has strong instincts as a ball carrier. He has the vision to find seams, locate blocks, and sets up defenders. Ben plays with an exciting blend of speed, agility, and power. On any given pay he can make a defender miss or run through arm tackles. Then once he hits the open field Ben has the speed to go the distance. Ott has a lot of varsity experience under his belt. Great to see him start to get next level offers including a recent one from UW-Whitewater.

The senior started his career at QB, but has made the switch to RB on offense, and it has resulted in some big games, and good tape. The first trait that jumps out to me is his lateral agility. Ben is able to get himself out of trouble with strong jump cuts that get him out of the reach of defenders and into open space. Once out there he has the speed to break off the long runs. Ott’s instincts also stand out. He has a great feel for the position, sees the field well, and is able to consistently create big plays. The senior handles a massive workload too.
