Jones to start has very good size to say the least, he’s 6-foot-4 and 300-pounds. This is incredibly hard size to find at the defensive tackle spot. That size alone makes him a prospect that is worth taking a chance on out there, especially Division II and Division III schools. He carries his weight well, I think the goal for him should be turn more of his weight into muscle. He’s not going to be an Aaron Donald type defensive lineman out there either way but could be a nice one-tech defensive tackle who with some development could become a nice complimentary pass rusher. I’d like to see him win at the line of scrimmage a bit more consistently but nonetheless, he does a great job of filling holes, and forcing running backs to trey and get to the outside. He has a good motor on him and he doesn’t take plays off from what I can tell either, he’s always working on finding the ball and getting his way to the ball. There will be some patience required with Jones and he may need a year or two of development and in the weight room before he can see the field consistently but is someone that with some polish can be a nice piece of a college defensive line.
