Austin Kerns Austin Kerns 6'0" | 195 lbs | LB Franklin Regional | 2025 State PA is an intriguing prospect as a defensive player. He plays inside linebacker but also projects as a safety. As an inside linebacker, he does a good job reading his keys and then attacking downfield. He is good in the open field making tackles. The coverage skills are what stood out throughout his film. He can cover running backs and other skill kids well in man-to-man defense. That is a rarity for an inside linebacker. Kerns projects as a safety at the next level, but his ability to play linebacker is an impressive skill set.
