Funk has an extended reach, he delivers a stiff punch at engagement and when he locks in on a defender he is one of the best finishers you will see in the Class of 2024. Ashton has nimble feet, he has a solid base with clean footwork and he has a powerful leg drive that he uses to blow his opponent out of the picture when he clamps down on defenders in the run game. Ashton brings the funk at the point of attack, he moves well in space and Funk gets to the second level with ease which enables him to be a lethal weapon in the Tompkins offense. Funk will be headed to the SEC, as he committed to Texas A&M back in November. Ashton is a player who has the potential to be a household name as he develops down in Aggieland.

Funk is a big bodied tackle who plays with so much physicality and desire to put defenders in the dirt. He is a mean player who will forcefully move you out of the way with his strength and continue his drive until the whistle. He takes care of business in the run game, combo blocking to the next level and clearing paths, and in the pass game he sets his hips and delivers strong punches to a rushers chest, giving his quarterback the time needed to go through reads. Funk gives little ground in all phases of the game and just has that football mentality. There is a reason why he is already up there as one of the top linemen in the state.

I have to show love to Funk who was dominant this game. While watching film, all you see is Funk driving a defender either 10 yards back or into the ground. Funk is a tough tackle who shows good athleticism, bein light on his feet. His size and strength makes him stand out on the field and his play backs it up. Funk plays until the whistle and gives the offense a great push on the left side. He is honestly a top dawg week to week!
