One of the more productive defensive players in the state the past two seasons has been Tug Valley LB/DE Ashton Davis Ashton Davis 6'2" | 190 lbs | EDGE Tug Valley | 2025 State WV who also stars on the basketball court for the Panthers. Davis totaled 44 tackles, 23 TFLs, and 14 sacks at the small school level as a junior primarily as a stand-up edge rusher. At 6’2 190, Davis likely translates best as an OLB at the next level if he chooses to play football where he has a high ceiling at the position. His length and athleticism made him a tough block for small-school offensive linemen but seeing him produce at an elite level against the greatest competition is exactly what you want to see. Davis is still very raw even with his eye-popping stats, but that’s even more exciting once he further develops at the college level and fine-tunes his technique if he plays football in college.
