Jacobsen shined in all three phases for Okoboji in 2025. The junior rushed for 360 yards (6.8 YPC) and two touchdowns, and added 30 receptions for 376 yards and three scores. On defense, he accumulated 30.5 tackles, 23 of which were solo stops. Jacobsen had two tackles for loss, a pair of interceptions and a couple of passes defended. He converted 3 of 5 field-goal attempts with a long make from 39 yards out, was 26 of 30 on point-after tries and recorded nine touchbacks on 44 kickoffs. The all-around athleticism required to produce in so many aspects of the game shine through during his 11th-grade highlight video. The first clip features him taking a pitch-toss after coming in motion. He makes people miss in close quarters before hitting the jets and sprinting to the end zone. Jacobsen lines up in the slot, hauls in screen pass, jukes defenders and goes the distance again on Clip 2. It’s a versatile skill set at receiver, one that also plays well in the secondary. More good news for scouts on the next level – Jacobsen’s frame has room to fill out and pack on more power in a college strength and conditioning program, adding upside to present production.

Pioneers’ WR Asa Jacobsen Asa Jacobsen 6'2" | 195 lbs | WR Okoboji | 2027 State IA had a bit of a coming-out party last season as he established himself as a playmaker who can keep the chains moving. Asa ended his sophomore campaign with 42 receptions, 516 receiving yards, six receiving touchdowns, 89 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown. Asa projects very well as a slot receiver at the next level, where he can use his shifty footwork and route running to attack all levels of the field, especially when carving up defenses over the middle. Obviously, being willing to go over the middle of the field requires a level of toughness, which Jacobsen shows with his ability to match the physicality of opposing DBs and has the hand strength to hang on through contact. Creates separation at the top of his route. Asa is also very dangerous when you can get him the ball in space with blockers in front of him, using his great vision and twitchy cutback ability to swerve through defenses for big gains.
