Kirkwood has produced several Power Four prospects over the past few seasons, and this may be the next one. Aree Hines Aree Hines 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB/WR Kirkwood | 2029 TN is an intriguing two-way player that can perform well on both sides, but is more than likely best suited to play cornerback. He has the tools to become the next star, so I’m excited to see how he develops moving forward.

He offers good size for his age and defensive back position, standing 6-foot and weighing 160 pounds. Hines certainly needs to add weight to fill out his frame, but the length and natural movement is there. It’s more about polishing up those traits and refining his body. Hines has been active on this defense, totaling 15 tackles with a pass deflection through six games.

The sophomore is raw and needs to develop his technique, but his physical tools are so strong that they make up for what he lacks in polished skill. His recovery is good, he has the speed to mirror receivers down the field and Hines uses his hands well.

Word from the Cobras coaching staff is that this rising sophomore is a player to watch moving forward and potentially their next Power Four prospect that should be stepping into a starting role this Fall season. Standing 6 ‘0 with a long, lean frame, Hines is a naturally athletic young man that should be going both ways at receiver and in the secondary with his best next level upside residing in the secondary. While Hines brings good buzz into the season, there is still a lot to learn about this sophomore athlete. It will be interesting to see how he performs this season and how he takes to more playing time and expectations attached to his name. If all goes according to plan, Hines should be on his way towards a breakout season that not just benefits his team but also grows his college stock.

The first of two previous Richview Middle School prospects I see as top Wide Receiver prospects in the state, Aree Hines Aree Hines 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB/WR Kirkwood | 2029 TN will be off to Kirkwood High School this year. A long, smooth, lean Wide Receiver that runs extremely fluid routes. Can take the top off a defense with ease and has a crazy catch radius. The scariest thing about Hines, is that by all acounts, he’s an even better basketball player.
