Stock rising performance out of the always-talented Appleton area and Appleton East High School. 2027 LB Apolo Assinghue was one of the more athletic players in attendance at the PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp, especially amongst the LBs, and he also possessed one of the better frames in Dinkytown, with a noticeable and significant amount of room to fill in. Flashed impressive quickness, as well as sudden and concise COD ability during drill work, controlled and explosive during LB indy, and was dynamic in coverage. Could be a big summer for Massinghue on the summer camp circuit.

One of my top choices to become a massive riser this summer is Appleton East’s edge Apolo Massingue. The 2027 edge can play a lot of alignments on the edge. From tight on the edge to rush the passer, to off ball OLB, to more of a wide 9. From every alignment we have seen how Apolo is able to dominate with his speed. As a pass rusher, Apolo is shot out of a cannon with an explosive first step and great acceleration to get the edge and then close on the QB. The 2027 is also right at home playing out in space, avoiding blockers, and bringing down RBs 1 on 1. His balance and agility help him through traffic and corral elusive athletes. He is such an athlete that we even see clips of the 205 lbs athlete playing safety and delivering monster hits.
