has been playing high school ball for about five years already. The irony of it all is that as he embarks on his third year, he has many of the traits that a five year veteran would. A legitimate dual-threat, Tirico is the type of prospect that can kill you from the pocket, run all over you on options and designed runs, or make something out of nothing when things breakdown. A subtle thing that I thought Tirico did well was protect the ball by holding it high as he goes through his progressions. As a runner, Tirico has a second gear and a burst as he gets deeper into the teeth of the defense. Whether it be in the pocket or on the run, he demonstrates outstanding balance when defenders are clawing at him. When on the run, Tirico can reset his feet quickly and throw an accurate ball. The best ball I think I saw him throw on film was on deep-breaking routes such as flags. I feel as though Tirico is an exciting player to build an offense around and his game is reminiscent to former Brick Memorial quarterback Connor Dietz.

delivered a strong performance at the PRZ PA Classic 7v7, displaying poise, patience, and a high football IQ throughout the weekend. His clean drop backs and smooth footwork in the pocket allowed him to maneuver around effectively, keeping plays alive with composure. Anthony consistently read coverages well and made smart decisions, including a standout throw rifled to Harrison at the toes of the end zone—a missile that showed off both arm strength and precision. He was also impressive on the move, delivering accurate passes while rolling out. While a few key drops from his receivers slowed the offense’s momentum at times, Anthony’s command and consistency stood out as one of the bright spots for his team.

, from Seneca High School, emerges as a standout freshman quarterback who made a significant impact on varsity from the get-go, guiding his team to the state playoffs and turning heads along the way. Several aspects of Tirico’s game stand out, with his ability to throw on the run being a notable highlight. Unlike many of his peers, Tirico demonstrates consistent proficiency in delivering accurate and well-timed passes while on the move—a skill that adds a dynamic dimension to his game and keeps defenses on their toes.Furthermore, Tirico showcases his dual-threat capabilities by effectively utilizing his legs to create explosive plays when needed. His aptitude for extending plays and picking up crucial yards on the ground adds versatility to his repertoire, making him a potent offensive weapon for Seneca. However, despite his early success, Tirico faces a crucial area of improvement in his mechanics. His elongated throwing motion, reminiscent of quarterbacks like Tim Tebow, raises concerns about long-term viability and efficiency. While not insurmountable, refining his mechanics will be essential for Tirico as he navigates through his high school career and aims for sustained success at the quarterback position. With his combination of experience, athleticism, and the ability to thrive under pressure,

. Leading Seneca to a deep playoff push, the 10 win QB lit up the field with 1841 yards and 17 touchdowns last fall. A prospect I view as one of the top talents at his position, Anthony’s skillset may help get his team a state title over these next three seasons.
Breaking down his tape, it was truly impressive to see how composed a freshman could be with pass rushers closing in on him quickly. Never fleeing or making unnecessary errors, Anthony would stand confident in the pocket and toss a dart down the field to split the coverage. Keep a close eye on Anthony and Seneca in 2024.

Anthony Tirico clinches the “Best Quarterback Throwing on the Run” Superlative for the 2027 class, showcasing exceptional accuracy and poise outside the pocket. As a 5’11, 184-pound quarterback for Seneca, Tarico’s standout trait lies in his ability to deliver precise throws on the move. Despite his young age, he navigates various offensive concepts with finesse, demonstrating consistent accuracy and velocity while throwing on the run—an impressive feat for any quarterback showing that he can effectively weaponize his mobility. Tirico’s instrumental role in Seneca’s playoff run adds to the anticipation of his continued ascent as one of New Jersey’s top quarterbacks, solidifying his claim to the superlative.

A QB I have highlighted before that has huge upside, Antony Tirico is ready to make his presence known in 2024. A lethal QB for Seneca, Anthony put up the most impressive freshman numbers in 2023 when he threw for 1841 yards and 17 passing touchdowns. Watching his film, you would not think this kid was a freshman this past season. Throwing the ball with poise, he doesn’t get ruffled at all and stays calm and collected as he releases it. With as much experience as Anthony got this fall, he is an early favorite to be one of the best in his class.
