“Hayes is a dominant run defender upfront who finds ways into the backfield to create tackles for loss almost every snap. He’s explosive off the LOS, plays with great leverage, speed, and power, and can fly by blockers to wrap up the ball carrier for little to no gain.
Hayes can also produce at a high level as a pass rusher- his closing speed is absurd and frequently allows him to pursue and take down the quarterback for huge sacks behind the line of scrimmage. What shocked me most with Hayes’ tape was watching how hard he delivers hits- offenses, be warned, this is not a guy you want to meet face to face.“
