On offense, he lines up at receiver where he is very dangerous in the open field after the catch. He has explosive speed and has also shown the ability to make defenders miss with ease, which makes him a threat to turn short passes into a big gain at any given moment. Jones is also a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks to create easy separation. Amere finished his sophomore year at Valley with 22 receptions for 599 yards and seven touchdowns in six games. He also returned a punt for a touchdown and made an impact on defense, recording 17 tackles and two interceptions. Jones holds an offer from Grambling State and I’m eager to see how he progresses moving forward after transferring to Eminence for his junior year.
