I knew a little bit about Amari from his head coach, Bobby Collins, at South Pointe in Rock Hill. Amari came in being strong in 1-on-1 coverage, and that showed well here during the 1-on-1 portion of the showcase. He is certainly worthy of the ranking he currently has in South Carolina, as I could see he wanted the challenge of going up against some of the best wide receivers in attendance. Amari is now listed at 6’2 and 170 pounds, and that frame allowed him to make some plays on balls in the air consistently. He’s got college football in his future, for sure.
