Roney is an old-school style of defensive back. He’s physical at the line and can put a receiver out of the play entirely. He’s a great tackler with great technique. He can line up at the line and drop into any style of coverage. He has good positional awareness and does a great job of taking away space for his matchup to utilize. The Chaminade Julienne defense should be a top unit in the state, and I see Amar’e being a big part of why.
