About AJ

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Reliable and technically sound lineman who can play any position on the line, physical and very rare to draw penalties

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Through success and failure my mindset stays the same: do you thrive or do you survive. I picked that mentality up from coach Mike Tomlin and it has stuck with me since. I want to be the one who stands out and thrives, rather than just doing the bare minimum

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm involved in the Ralston medical academy, I've been on the academic honor role 3 years in a row, and I've received a student of the week award for my engagement and leadership in the class room

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills through accepting my role as a mentor to the younger guys on the team, teaching them technique, breaking down film and the playbook, and pushing them to be better men off the field. I have over 60 hours of documented community service hours but I have a lot more through coach the Ralston Little Big Horns youth football team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My sophomore year, I tore my ACL in week 4 against Skutt Catholic high school. Instead of letting break me, I kept a positive attitude since that first day of rehab and eventually came back stronger than I was before the injury.

A leader in the trenches, McCormack will enter his senior season as a lineman with ideal height and size, projecting as a strong prospect in the Class of 2027.

While serving as a team captain, he was a mainstay on the offensive line with 15 pancakes and ZERO sacks allowed.

​McCormack’s disruptive instincts showed on defense tallying 14 tackles, 3 hurries, 1 safety, 1 pass deflection and 1 blocked PAT.

McCormack earned Honorable Mention All District B-2 honors and is a 2-way lineman with the size, versatility and leadership; he is a MUST watch next season.
