A dynamic and versatile 2028 athlete in the small town of Lincolnton, Aidan Jones is a playmaking running back on offense who knows how to deliver a big physical hit at linebacker. He brings good size at 6 foot 190 pounds and as a natural feel for the game. On offense Jones had 588 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns on defense. The run stopping defender, made 51 tackles while also creating havoc in the backfield, with seven tackles for loss, four sex, and one interception. Look for him to climb the rankings more and more over time in the 2028 prep bread zone update.

A small-town athlete who made a significant impact last year at both running back and linebacker, Jones is a max-effort player with a natural feel for the game and above-average athleticism and durability for his age. The small-town prospect from Lincolnton was a major weapon on offense as he ran for 500 yards and 12 touchdowns as a reserve back. He was one of the team’s more productive players, averaging an eye-opening 12.5 yards per carry. The sophomore ran the ball only 40 times last year but could see more carries next fall with their top two rushers off to the next level. Look for Jones to continue thriving on both sides of the ball for Lincoln County in 2026.

He goes by “JoJo” and after being called up to play some JV to end his season, he was an immediate eye-test passer at the Prep Redzone Next Camp in Georgia this past January. At a muscular, 5-foot-9 and 180-pounds, he can play running back, linebacker or strong safety right now at a very high level. Based off film and roster composition, I can see him playing a few different spots–but linebacker may be it.
