After standing out as a Top Performer at previous events and earning an invitation to Rize in New Jersey this summer, Ahmad Clanton Ahmad Clanton 5'9" | 157.5 lbs | ATH Berkeley Golden Eagles (Youth Program) | 2031 NJ has already shown he can compete with high-level talent. Going up against athletes from across the country, he held his own and showcased an impressive arsenal of hand moves that allows him to create advantages at the line of scrimmage.

His frame for his age adds another layer to his game and gives him plenty of physical upside as he continues to develop. With Ahmad’s event performances already putting him on the radar, I’m looking forward to seeing how that translates to the field this season.

A top performer at this very same venue in the spring time, Ahmad Clanton Ahmad Clanton 5'9" | 157.5 lbs | ATH Berkeley Golden Eagles (Youth Program) | 2031 NJ had another solid performance. I liked how Clanton consistently finished his rip move, powerfully uppercutting low-to-high, finishing with a fist near his ear. One question remains for Clanton: what is next? After working the rip masterfully, I challenge him to find a way to work off of that great move. Counters, stacking moves, and things of the sort will enable Clanton to shed blocks when both defending the run and the pass.

Ahmad Clanton is a tremendous athlete out of the 2031 class and coming out of New Jersey, he will stay home for the “RIZE” camp and be getting ready to showcase why he was invited to one of the biggest events in all of the Country especially for middle school talent. I look forward to hearing about his work once this camp concludes!

A versatile weapon with an athletic build and high ceiling, Ahmad has the potential to shine not only as a defensive lineman but on offense as a running back as well. Being a 2031 prospect, Rize will be a great opportunity for Ahmad to show schools and scouts what he is capable of and continue that momentum into the fall.

One of the first prospects I noticed when I got to the field for the tryout. Clanton is a good looking prospect with long limbs and a frame that translates to several different positions on the field. Coming to the first session of tryouts, which was scheduled for OL/DL, he looks like a nice option as an Edge rusher. However, he’s versatile and appears like he can play multiple positions.
